Special Abilities and Abilities Guideline
Upon the creation of your character you’ll be able to pick one Special Ability that is unique to your character, this will set into motion everything else your character can do magic wise from there. The general theme will then have a sub category that you get to start out with: it is within this sub category that you can app abilities from. To be able to broaden your horizon you will have to train any other sub specs within your ability using the guidelines below, and you can have up to three sub specs for your first Special Ability. You can also learn one more Special Ability which also has to be trained, and up to two sub specs for that Special Ability.
Here is an example of what your Special Ability and Sub Ability will look like.

Special Abilities and their sub categories are pre-set on the site, and can be found listed below. If there is something you would like to see that you do not find please feel free to leave a suggestion to it in the Suggestion Thread. Please include as much detail as possible when doing so.

Special Ability and Sub Spec Training
As stated above you can only start out with one Special Ability and one Sub Spec beneath it, however you can learn up to three total sub specs for your first Special Ability, and you may also train one more Special Ability under which you can learn two sub specs of your choosing. To do this you must follow the word counts listed below: any thread you do can be counted as a ‘training’ thread so long as it is not a “Job” or some form of a thread you are otherwise being paid.
Special Ability One – Sub Spec 2: 2,500 Words
Special Ability One – Sub Spec 3: 5,000 Words
Special Ability Two – Awakened: 5,000 Words
Special Ability Two – Sub Spec 1: 6,000 Words
Special Ability Two – Sub Spec 2: 7,500 Words
After you have chosen to train a sub spec, or your second special ability, you simply link the training into your Ability Registration and then link your registration to the Moderation Request Thread.
Techniques and Techniques Template
When it comes to techniques themselves we have a letter ranking system that ranges from A to E: A being the absolutely strongest abilities and E being weakest. Before you can use any technique it must be applied for in your Ability Registration and approved by a member of staff. Then it may be moved into your Ability List with the rest of your approved technique as soon as its been trained and the training has been approved by a member of staff.
An example of powers based on their ability level can be seen below:
E: A flame no larger than from a basic lighter. Can cause first degree burns, second degree burns if prolong contact is maintained of three posts or more.
D: A flame that can fit into the palm of ones hand. Can cause first degree burns upon contact, second degree burns if contact is kept via two posts or more.
C: A flame roughly the size of a large beach ball. Can cause second degree burns upon contact and third degree burns with prolonged exposure of three or more posts.
B: At this rank the fire ball can be roughly the size of a small automobile. It can cause second degree burns upon contact and third degree burns if contact is maintained for two posts.
A: At this rank the fire ball can be roughly the size of a small house. Third degree burns upon contact, incineration can occur if contact is maintained for three posts.
Please understand that this is just a general idea or concept of what you’re looking at when it comes to applications of techniques: each ability will be handled on a case by case basis following the general guideline above.
To app a technique you need to fill out the technique template found below, one template per technique, and post them in your ability registration. Once you have done that please post a link to your registration in the moderation request thread to be reviewed.

Once your techniques are approved you’ll need to train them before moving them on to your List. There is also a limit to how many abilities of each rank you can have.
Technique Limitation
A: 1 Tech Max
B: 3 Techs Max
C: 5 Techs Max
D: 7 Techs Max
E: Unlimited
Technique Training Wordcount
A: 5,000 Words
B: 4,000 Words
C: 3,000 Words
D: 1,500 Words
E: 750 Words
Once you have trained a technique link the thread to your training in your Ability Registration, and then link your registration to the Moderation Request Thread.
When it comes to using an abilty in a thread you must spoiler the ability you're using, as well as keep track of your Magic pool (see the Magic Guideline for details on Magic). An Example of this can be found below.

Name: Fire Ball
Special Ability Required: Fire Magic
Sub Spec Required: Fire Creation
Rank: D
Range: 0 - 10 Meters
Description: A ball of fire is created which can then be thrown at an opponent up to 10 meters away. The fireball causes first degree burns on contact, and if the user is set on fire (IE not wearing protective armor, so forth) they will suffer second degree burns after three posts.
Magic: 150 - 10 = 140 Remaining
